Handbuilding II: Functional Tableware

Clay with Jade Thayer | Fall 2026

Tuesdays Sept. 22 - Oct. 27 | 5:30 P.M. TO 8 P.M.

Take a deeper dive into your unique making process while building and refining your handbuilding skills.

There is great power in a plate of food. A meal prepared with ingredients of love, patience and joy does not fail to nourish the soul. So too can the chiming of clean dishes in the sink fill us with vitality. Come, explore the potters way, and make something of yourself in clay.

Join fellow makers in a 6 week cohort where we will push the limits of ceramic creation, while returning to those simple joys in life… As always in clay class, you hold complete creative freedom. But, during this run of HB II, participants will be invited to develop a completed tableware set through the process of design and practice.

Some clay experience is helpful, but not required.

On the off chance that minimum enrollment numbers are not met prior to the start date, this workshop series will not take place. In the event of a cancellation, registered participants will be notified promptly and issued a full refund. Early registration is strongly recommended to ensure the series runs as scheduled.
