Summer of Clay with Jade Thayer
This summer, we’re getting our hands dirty; in the best way possible. Whether you’re brand new to clay or already dreaming in glaze colors, Summer of Clay is your invitation to play, experiment, and create. From guided classes to open-ended studio time, there’s a place for every kind of maker to dig in and discover what’s possible.
The Handbuilding Series | 6 Weeks | 6 Unique Projects
TUESDAYS JULY 28 - SEPT 1 & THURSDAYS JULY 30 - SEPT 3
5:30 P.M. TO 8 P.M.
Spend six weeks exploring the art of handbuilding while creating a beautiful collection of functional and decorative ceramic pieces. Designed for beginners and returning makers alike, each class introduces a new technique and project while building your confidence, creativity, and connection to clay.
Can’t commit to all six weeks?
You’re still welcome here. Each class is thoughtfully designed to stand on its own, so you can register for a single session, explore a specific technique, or join us whenever your schedule allows.
Choose the Schedule That Works for You
To make it easier to fit creativity into your summer, we're offering the same handbuilding class twice each week.
Your options:
Enroll in the full 6-week series on Tuesdays or Thursdays for the complete handbuilding experience. This is the most economical option and offers the best value while allowing you to build your skills week by week.
Register for individual workshops on either day if you can only attend selected classes or want to try a specific project.
Repeat a favorite workshop by taking it again on the other day to practice, experiment, or create a second piece.
Take both Tuesday and Thursday sessions in the same week if you'd like additional instruction and studio time. While the featured project will be the same, you'll have the opportunity to refine your technique, explore different design ideas, or make an additional piece.
*When not enrolled in series, you must purchase a spot for each workshop session you attend*
Whether you join us for one workshop or the entire series, you'll be welcomed into a supportive community of makers and leave with something uniquely your own.
Best Value: Enrolling in the full six-week series offers the lowest cost per class, the greatest opportunity to develop your handbuilding skills, and the chance to become part of our growing community of makers.
