Day 1: Sketching Nature Learn to sketch outdoors by observing and simplifying the landscape. Through quick studies, you'll learn to frame a scene, identify large shapes and patterns, and create clear, expressive drawings.

Day 2: Urban Sketching Apply the same approach to streets, buildings, and public spaces. We'll focus on composition, perspective, and simplifying complex urban scenes while incorporating natural elements into the landscape.

When: Aug. 12 & 13 (9:30am-12:30pm)

Location: Makerspace at 16 State Street, Ellsworth, ME

Bring: Sketchbook 9x12 (mixed media), pencils (2B, 4B), Ebony pencil (optional), kneaded eraser, pen and ink, light watercolor set, brush #12 round (synthetic), folding stool.
